This invention relates to locking devices for detachable blow molds. The purpose of the invention is to reduce the size and reduce the auxiliary time for locking the forms. The invention relates to devices for making blown hollow articles from synthetic thermoplastics, and more specifically to devices for locking separable molds for blowing products.
The purpose of the invention is to reduce the size and reduce the time for locking half-molds.

The device for closing the half-molds of the blow mold, consisting of two hinged joints with a longitudinal axis of the mold, contains grips 1 fixed on one half-form, grips 2 fixed on the second half-form, and locking elements 3 made in the form of rods, and the grips 1 and 2 are made in the form of cheeks fixed on the half-joints, which are radially protruding with respect to the longitudinal joint of the half-molds. The grippers 1 are displaced relative to the grips 2 so that when the half-molds are closed, the grips are placed one between the other with the possibility of contact between each other by flat side surfaces. The grippers 1 and 2 are made with through holes 4, in which the locking elements 3 are installed in the form of rods, the length of each rod being equal to the length of the hole 4 of each gripper 1 and 2, due to which the rods are flush in the initial position (half-form) holes x grips. In the clamps 2, additional coaxial holes 5 are provided, provided with a rod 6 installed in them with the possibility of longitudinal movement. The rod b is provided with a stop 7 which is fixed at its upper end and a transverse bolt 8 which is fixed at its lower end. The stop 7 of the rod is connected to the upper locking element 3, and the crossbolt 8, which is connected with the lower locking element of the grip. The device is also equipped with a drive 9, which can be made in the form

The device works as follows.
Using a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder 9 or mechanically, the piston actuator stem 10 is raised
and thereby squeezes the individual locking elements 3 upward into the open position shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, as a result, the mold halves 14 and .15 can be turned into an open position (FIG. 1). At the same time, the rod 10 lifts the rod 6, which by means of the transverse bolt 8 is frame-like connected with the lower locking element 3 of the gripper 2.
Since all the locking elements 3, the anvil 7 moves upwards and the locking elements 3 are arranged along the entire length, without protrusions, i.e. flush, in the holes from the grippers 1 half-mold 14, respectively, are located in the holes of the grips 2 half-mold 15 (Figures 2 and 3), the mutual closure of the half-form does not occur and the form can be turned into an open state.
After the half-molds are closed, their closure follows by lowering the stem 10 of the cylinder 9. Pulling down is transmitted through the transverse bolt 8 to the rod 6, to which the stop 7 is attached at its upper end. The stop 7, which is also connected to the upper locking element 3, moves

The closure of the perceiving very high internal pressure of the molds 14 and 15 is carried out along the entire total length of the junction of all parts of the form, while it should be especially noted that despite this, an extremely short closing movement of the rod locking elements 3 is required. in a very short time, and in spite of this, the closing movement covers the entire height of the form, i.e. the half-forms are closed with each other along their entire common length, or the joint of all parts. The length of the locking rod 6, which would need a locking movement corresponding to the height of the mold, is not required. For example, a piston with a rod 10 to a height of about 3 cm is sufficient to close the mold 90 cm in height from the bottom to the top, as shown. With a machine capacity of 4,000 bottles per hour, great importance is attached to this rapid closure.
Since the half-molds 14, 15, after being opened by the mechanisms 16 and 17, are rotated around the rotation axis 18 shown in FIG. 1, a detachable gripping connection is provided between the lower locking element 3 of the locking device (which is connected with a transverse bolt 8 to the rod 6) and the stem 10 - there are detachably interconnected cylindrical pin 11 angular clamps 12 and 13.

1. A device for closing the half-molds of a blown conveyor machine for blow-molding hollow articles made of synthetic thermoplastic with several mounted on an inflation ring
the rotor of blown molds consisting of split, hinged in the longitudinal direction of the half-form with radially protruding relative to the longitudinal joint of the half-form by the closing grippers installed with the possibility of contact with each other when closing the half-form, and locking elements for closing the grips in the longitudinal direction, differing from that, in order to reduce overall dimensions and reduce the auxiliary time for locking half-molds, the closing grippers of each half-form are made with through holes one of the locking elements, and the locking elements are made in the form of movably mounted clamps of the rods, the length of which is equal to the length of the opening of the locking grip, while the gripping grips of one half-form are made with additional coaxial holes and are equipped with a rod installed for longitudinal movement the locking elements, one end of which is connected to the lower one and the other end to the upper locking elements.
